War of the Worlds

I've always enjoyed the history and the stories around the civil war. I was recently reading through different theories about what would have happened if Lee had won at Gettysburg or Stonewall wasn't shot or, in short, if the confederates had won such-and-such battle would they have won the war. There are hundreds of key points in the war where a single event could have changed everything. While I was reading about the long list of events that would unfold if Europe had gotten involved I thought "what if aliens had gotten involved". The civil war would be a way cooler time for aliens to invade than the peaceful 50's American suburbs.
While this picture didn't turn out as epic as it should, I figured I should share it anyways. This watercolor on 11x17 bristol paper. I hope you can enjoy it despite the boring non-dramatic perspective.
