Moon Cannon

I almost wish I could do this as a short animation piece. The real title would be "and they never came back to tell us what it was like". I had this fun scene in my sketchbook of a bunch of astronauts getting into a cannon in a Victorian age to travel to the moon. Like all the first concepts of flying machines that were horribly misconceived, the idea of being shot out of a cannon with all the innocent spectators was funny to me. I didn't quite pull it off but I thought I would share it all the same. This is acrylic on cut out pieces of paper. Thanks for looking.
